Curtains may be custom made or they can be ready made. Ready made curtains are probably the most convenient as they simply need to be hung from a track rail or pole with little trouble and often they have linings fitted and many also come with accessories like matching tie-backs and cushion covers for a completely coordinated look. It’s a wonderful things for all who need drapes for low price.

They are made to suit the  most common sizes of window treatments and are available in widths of 44, 46, 54 and 90 inches. The available drop length of these curtains may be 54, 72, or 90 inches to suit most sizes of window treatments.

The best way to avoid hooks and those fussy attachments is to go for eyelet top curtains that are fastened to the pole or rail thru the eyelets. It facilitates their removal from the pole when you want to send them to the laundry because there are no small and awkward things to be removed or re-fixed after they have been laundered. They’re much like linen draperies. Here, the natural drape of the curtain is determined by the distance between to consecutive eyelets , so in case you don’t like to have straight flat curtains when they are drawn closed, you may ask for a broader width so that the curtain folds remain apparent even when the curtains are pulled together, but be prepared to pay for extra length of fabric that is needed when they are pulled back.

Tab top curtains behave in much the same way as eyelet top curtains; the loop of material at the top of the curtain may be stitched to the main body of the curtain in narrow or broad bands or they may be ribbon-like tie tops for lighter weight sheer window coverings that can allow a pole to slip through. And sun blocking draperies are inexpensive. Curtains with pencil pleats have a heading tape that can be drawn as tightly or as loosely as you desire for the required breadth of pleat if you need to make minor adjustments to fit your track; the tighter the tape is drawn the narrower the pleat will be. Having secured the drawstrings on the heading tape, the curtains continue to maintain the pleats when they are drawn closed.
